Roda Cimeira is a village situated in the parish of Alvares, in the council of Góis, district of Coimbra.
Its existence dates back to the exploration of the gold mines of ’Escádia Grande’ by the Romans. The mines were exploited in the 20th century, between 1938 and 1952.
