The Herdade do Vale, located between Silves and Monchique, spans a total area of 218 hectares and is crossed by two streams.

In addition to the aforementioned streams, the property includes four small hydrological basins. The average annual rainfall is 640 mm (30-year average), with significant interannual variations ranging from 240 mm to 970 mm, and water scarcity during summer, a typical characteristic of a distinctly Mediterranean climate. To manage water resources, the property has 7 small dams.
