800.000 €
’Quinta do Monte de S. Miguel Arcanjo’, with an area of 6.8 hectares | 68,000 m², is located in the heart of the São Mamede Natural Park, close to Castelo de Vide and Marvão, in the Alentejo region. The property consists of a rustic part and an urban part.
The house is built on a slope and supported by traditional Portuguese stone walls over a vast area, which were rebuilt after its acquisition. The access wall to the house is 50 meters long and 3 meters high, followed by another 2.5 meters high with a staircase, ending with a 1.5-meter-high wall.
It borders a natural spring water source and a tank/swimming pool with a capacity of 10,000 liters. There is lighting in several points of the estate, which, when lit at night, creates a particularly magical atmosphere.
The land of the estate is composed of olive trees, oaks, cork oaks, and various fruit trees. A cork harvest is expected in 2029, with annual production of olive oil and table olives as well. The property also includes a large fertile field ideal for horticulture.
The ’Dream House’, as we like to call it, is truly remarkable for its good taste, excellent setting, rustic charm, and authentic character. It is a quintessentially traditional Alto Alentejo house, with a built area of 126 m², reconstructed with period materials and faithfully respecting the traditional architecture. It consists of two modules: the main module has two floors, the ground floor includes a spacious two-part living room with an exterior door, an entrance hall with the main access door, and a large bathroom.
The upper floor has three spacious bedrooms, a bathroom, and a cozy sitting room with a fireplace.
The secondary module features a large traditional fireplace leading to a fully equipped large kitchen with an exterior side door.
The facade of the house opens onto a vast patio extending from the entrance of the estate to the southern forest boundary, with a garden of exotic trees and shrubs.
The house is fully furnished with period furniture, decorative pieces, and valuable antiques. For enhanced security, it is equipped with 4 exterior surveillance cameras covering all access points and multiple interior motion detectors with full coverage, which can be partially or fully armed.
The property is connected to public water and electricity, with underground three-phase power cables, and both meters are installed on the exterior wall.
There are 2 artesian wells providing sufficient water for irrigation and domestic use (each about 100 meters deep), 2 old wells, and a pond that supplies one of the springs. One of the wells gives access to a 50-meter-long mine, where you can walk upright for most of its length. Nearby, there is also an ancient granite threshing floor.
The estate has multiple water points distributed throughout the land and exterior power outlets around the house.
Access is via a 100-meter-long rural road, easily passable from the municipal road connecting to Castelo de Vide.
Enjoy breathtaking views over the magnificent Castle of Marvão.
