The 56-hectare property, strategically located between the sea and the mountains, is divided into two distinct areas: a flat area next to the river associated with agricultural activity and a steeply sloping area with a pine forest, planted more than 40 years ago with the aim of making the most of soils unsuitable for agriculture.

Also part of the property are two reservoirs built to support a potential irrigation system, a stream and warehouses, farmhouses distributed throughout the property and two urban centres called Monte Velho (former caretakers’ house) and Monte Novo (agricultural support).

The PIP has been approved with feasibility for the construction of a 120-bed hotel unit (equivalent to 60 rooms) in the northernmost part of the estate. Turismo de Portugal is about to approve a further 180 beds for glamping around the dams and the creation of 10 hectares of vineyards.

The property will have a capacity of 15 ha for agricultural production, around 5,800 m2 of construction for the hotel unit, an implantation area for the hotel unit of around 3,000 m2 and an infrastructure area of 11,550 m2.

The estate has a privileged location in the municipality of Silves and north of São Bartolomeu de Messines, in an area of great historical importance

It is the ultimate in accessibility, located 700 metres from the IC1 and 5 km from the A2. It is 17 kilometres from the A22 motorway (known as the Via do Infante) and 18 kilometres from the E.N. 125, two roads that connect the Algarve region lengthways.
