Until the creation of the parish, ’Campo de Ourique’ referred only to the homonymous neighborhood of the city of Lisbon. It is located in the heart of the city, between the Mulberry Trees, the Star and the Pleasures. It is a residential neighborhood, but with a vocation for very strong and old trade.

Also the first Portuguese independent record label, Ama Romanta, originated in the neighborhood in 1986, and then its head age at Rua Coelho da Rocha.
