- Peneda-Gerês National Park (1/2 hour)
The Peneda Gerês National Park is located in the northwest of the country, less than an hour from Braga and covers more than 72,000 hectares. Recognized as a national park in the 1970s, the Peneda Gerês park has many places to see: dolmens, the Roman road or beautiful landscapes with waterfalls, natural pools and gorges.

- Lake and Marina Rio Caldo (1/2 hour)
An extensive reservoir of 12 km², Lago Rio Caldo offers an extraordinary natural landscape, where water sports are numerous from the Marina: boating, fishing, swimming, etc.

- Guimarães (half an hour)
The city of Guimarães is associated with the foundation of Portugal and is therefore known as the ’cradle of the Portuguese nation’.

- Guimarães is one of the most important historic cities in the country, and its historic center, considered a World Heritage Site, is one of the largest tourist centers in the region. Its streets and monuments breathe history and enchant visitors.

- Ponte de Lima (half an hour)
For a walk between mansions and narrow streets, enjoy the atmosphere of Ponte de Lima and its famous bridge (15 arches) that crosses the River Lima.

- Ponte da Barca (1/2 hour)
Miniature version of Ponte de Lima. Its name, da Barca, comes from the ferry used to transport passengers (usually pilgrims to Santiago de Compostela) across the river. Beautiful bridge from the 15th century. On Wednesdays, the city comes alive with the market.

- Braga (half an hour)
Often referred to as ’Portuguese Rome’ due to its many churches, Braga is linked to the Christianity that has sustained the city since the 3rd century. The city’s main tourist attraction, La Sé, a 12th-century cathedral, is still one of the most visited places today. Just outside the city is the famous Bom Jesus de Monte pilgrimage site, with its unusual baroque staircase. After dark, nightlife takes over thanks to the large student population.

- Viana do Castelo (1 hour)
Surrounded by the Atlantic, Viana do Castelo lives for and by the proximity of the ocean. Great discovery, cod fishing and surfing today, it is known as one of the most beautiful cities in the north of Portugal.

- Porto (1 hour)
The biggest metropolis in Portugal after Lisbon. Porto is a historic city, with neighborhoods now classified as the Douro, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Resolutely active and dynamic elsewhere, the city offers loads of lovely walks to take, before heading for some fresh air in one of its many parks or on one of the beaches close to the heart of the city. And, of course, visiting the Port wine cellars is a must.
