With south-facing sun exposure, it offers spectacular views of the sea. The connection between the bedroom on the ground floor and the first floor is made from the outside, which allows for the independence of the downstairs bedroom.
The house is located in a small village in Messines, where there are about a hundred inhabitants, giving the village the atmosphere of a village, where everyone knows each other and helps each other, in case of need. Close to Albufeira, about fifteen kilometres, with good access allows easy travel to the urban centre, enjoying the calm and serenity of the interior. Four kilometres from the centre of Messines, where you will find all the facilities of the village, such as hypermarkets, local shops, pharmacies, schools, restaurants and normal services of a village with more than eight thousand inhabitants.
São Bartolomeu de Messines is a village in the parish of São Bartolomeu de Messines in the municipality of Silves, a parish with an area of 246.41 km² and 8157 inhabitants, thus having a population density of 33.1 inhabitants/km², which allows it to be classified as a Low Density Area.
It was near São Bartolomeu de Messines that the Battle of Sant’Ana took place, fought in 1834, near the Chapel of the same name, in the middle of the Algarve mountain region, a few kilometres to the north, resulting in a victory of the Miguelist troops (also called royalists or legitimists), against the liberals (also called constitutionalists). Like other parts of the country, the dispute was at that time very heated.
