Gavião, lands of great emotions, due to the magnificent landscapes, where you can see both banks of the Tagus River. We are in the presence of a route with many pedestrian trails in a natural environment, with several climbs and descents in areas of almost wild nature, crossing obstacles and a wooden walkway next to the course of the river.

Leave Belver, next to the Igreja Matriz, go down Rua da Fontinha towards the old Lagar da Fraga, via the old levada, and cross Ribeira de Belver via a suspension bridge. Follow paths between walls until the road. Turn left and then right, after a few meters, and follow a rural path between centuries-old olive groves and small cultivated fields until Torre Fundeira. Leave the town on the asphalt road and, after passing the river, turn right towards the hill where the Anta do Penedo Gordo is located, an excellent megalithic monument.

From here, start the descent to the Tagus River, first gentler and somewhat inclined from Cabeço do Pintalgaio, paying close attention to the natural staircase there. Access Praia da Ortiga always next to the river branch, cross the train line and pass next to the old housing neighborhood, until you reach the crossing over the wall of the Belver Dam.
