The Herdade dos Mineiros, covering an area of 11 hectares, is located near Alandroal in the Alentejo region and belongs to the Évora district. This property boasts extraordinarily interesting characteristics, both in terms of its location and its very pleasant views of the countryside, as well as the fact that it includes a set of urban constructions with very peculiar architectural features. These were once homes for former miners, with a total area of 716 m² (residential), where they lived for long periods of time. In terms of urban yet rural constructions, there is an additional total area of 522 m², complementing the over seven hundred square meters of residential space.

Its chain and staggered layout, along with its interiors, highly distinctive for the time, endow the buildings with significant potential for establishing a future Rural Tourism Project. Given its substantial size in terms of built physical area, though requiring general restoration and rehabilitation works, a project of such nature would undoubtedly qualify for substantial financial support from the PRR - Recovery and Resilience Plan, particularly enhanced due to its location in an interior and low-population-density region of the country.

The property features a rolling landscape with scattered holm oaks, some land suitable for cultivation and livestock grazing, and a valley on one of the slopes, composed of clear land and traditional olive trees. It is also located about 2 km from the Great Lake of Alqueva, highly suitable for water sports.

Electricity is available near the property, water can potentially be sourced through an artesian well, and access is provided by a paved road.

It is approximately 15 minutes from the Borba highway exit (A6) and 40 minutes from the Spanish border and the city of Badajoz. (Ref. FG628)

’Herdade das Figueiras’, with an area of 53 hectares and 1 ruined traditional Alentejo house / hill, is located in the municipality of Alandroal, in the district of Évora, in the Alentejo. From a morphological point of view, the property is flat with small hills. It is made up of Holm oak groves and water ponds and is rectangular in shape.

The hill, with its 101 m2 of implantation area, will be restored and raised from its base to a height of up to 6.5 metres. From the property, you can glimpse an indescribable landscape, overlooking the immensity of the plain, with the medieval town of Monsaraz as a backdrop.

We must emphasise its strong potential for setting up a rural tourism unit on this estate, given its proximity to the largest artificial lake in Europe (Alqueva). Access is via a tarmac road and a passable dirt track. Electricity is very close by.

Given the quality of the soil, Herdade das Figueiras is perfectly suited to raising horses and sheep. For this purpose, it needs to be fenced and parked.
