Quarteira is made up of different types of tourist offer, from high quality hotels, the Casino, restaurants, bars, nightclubs, golf courses and beaches.
With unique characteristics in the world, another of the facilities that the parish of Quarteira offers its visitors is the Vilamoura Marina, one of the ex-libris of the Algarve region, of unquestionable importance to Algarve and to the country.
Golf, in terms of sports and tourism, represents for this parish, for the Municipality of Loulé and for the entire Algarve region, an extraordinary economic contribution and, especially, a strong contribution to the reduction of seasonality during the so-called low season. In Vilamoura alone there are five golf courses, all of high quality, with a scenic setting and with the effective preference of the great specialists of the sport.
The potential of the parish of Quarteira attracts tourists from all over the world and in addition to about two dozen hotels and guesthouses, it also has several groups of apartments and a campsite to accommodate all its visitors.
Tourist places of historical and cultural interest are the ruins of Vilamoura (Cerro da Vila), Loulé Velho and Fonte Santa. The people believe, linked to an ancient popular tradition that in recent times has been lost, that healing waters are born from this Fountain. In Quarteira, various social and cultural events take place, such as the Popular Marches during the month of June.
