Our house was originally two small country houses, and built in the 1930’s. It features some old original features - like old stone walls, and a traditional patio. But recently it has been substantially renovated, with new electrics, ceilings, floors, kitchen equipment, furnishings, double glazed glass doors and windows - to make the space more welcoming and comfortable. The farmhouse is surrounded by a hectare of land that is an in use organic farm - growing fruits, nuts and vegetables for sale at the local market. there is also a yoga studio where you can practice on your own or with a qualified yoga teacher and breathwork facilitator. (Prices available on request).

Note: Before coming please check the average temperatures in the Algarve, (especially during the summer months), to make sure they are suitable for your proposed stay and the activities you want to participate in while you are here. The main living room on the property is air-conditoned but other rooms are not.

The farmhouse is nestled in the beautiful village of Amendoeira, 7 minutes drive from the market town of Loule, and 20 minutes from the beautiful beaches of the central Algarve and Faro Airport. The village is surrounded by a national park or ecological zone where building and other activities are restricted. No matter how busy it gets by the sea in the summer, it is always quiet in Amendoeira. The village has one cafe where the locals play petanque (boules) and meet throughout the year. And the walking and bike trails that surround the village are some of the best in the Algarve. You can walk straight off the back of the property onto beautiful trails leading through uninhabited valleys and other beautiful spaces. And there is a small farm shop on the farm where you purchase locally grown organic produce.

Please note: We also have two very friendly, dogs and a cat living on the farm. If you are allergic (or very afraid) of any of these animals please do not book.
